Student Information & Resources

The ICCOC is committed to student success.  We want to ensure that online learning is for you.  Although our online courses provide a convenient way for you to pursue your educational goals, please note that our online courses are not self-paced.

Important information about being an online student.

Student Ethics Statement

All students must abide by the ICCOC Student Ethics & User Agreement.

Agreements are made between institutions to aid in your continued education.

My Approach

Students who need and request academic accommodations for their online courses must have a Student Accommodations Plan established at their home college.

Students are required to follow the policies/guidelines established at their home college; therefore, each college's documentation requirements and process will vary slightly.

Faculty and staff must complete the steps outlined in the Academic Accommodations Process before any accommodations are granted to online students.

Some instructors require quizzes/exams to be proctored within a course.

A proctor or proctoring service administers your exam or quiz while you are taking the exam.

If a course requires you to find a proctor at a physical location or to use the proctoring service provided by the ICCOC (Honorlock) , the instructor will provide this information in the syllabus.

Online Tutoring

Students enrolled in a fully-online course, hybrid course or eCompanion have access to 15 hours of online tutoring services provided for the academic year (August through July)

Students may access this service by clicking on the Brainfuse Online Tutoring link located in each online course.  Online tutoring is available 24/7/365.

With Brainfuse students can:

  • Access live tutoring

  • Submit a writing assignment for review

  • Submit a question and receive a response

  • Utilize all types of study tools such as SkillSurfer, Flashbulb, Language Lab, LEAP, Meet and Brainwave

Brainfuse Support for technical issues may be reached at this email address:

Library Services

Students will find a link to Library Services in every online course.

Click on the Library Service link in your course to access an extensive collection of journal articles, full-text books, reports, newspapers and current events.
